ABSTRACT
‘Dangerous offenders’ and ‘dangerousness’ are related, but not interchangeable, concepts. Certain violent and sexual offenders are considered ‘dangerous offenders’, but the concept of ‘dangerousness’ is potentially much wider. There are important definitional, practical and ethical issues to consider.
