Policing illicit drugs is one of the greatest challenges facing modern policing today. The cost to society of illicit drug use continues to escalate, as does the pressure to reduce drug-related crime. The police – who, until relatively recently, worked in isolation – now work across a number of partnerships tackling all aspects of drug use and supply.
