ABSTRACT

Krrish is the first international Indian blockbuster film to be shot in Singapore under the Singapore Tourism Board's Film-in-Singapore subsidy scheme. Directed by Rakesh Roshan, the doyen of contemporary Bollywood cinema, Krrish is India's fourth-highest grossing film this decade and the third-highest grossing film of 2006. The story revolves around an Indian superhero, Krishna (played by Bollywood heart-throb Hrithik Roshan), who is born with magical powers, and traces his life as he meets Priya, a Singapore-based non-resident Indian, and follows her to Singapore. The film is the much-anticipated sequel to Koi Mil Gaya (2003). More than 60 per cent of the film was shot in Singapore over 60 days.
