ABSTRACT
This chapter examines the application of the precautionary principle in relation to biodiversity and natural resource management in Argentina. It is based on an examination of legislation and policy, specific administrative and judicial decisions, and attitudes toward the precautionary principle among decision-makers. It seeks to draw insights and conclusions about the impacts of the precautionary principle in Argentina and barriers to its effective implementation.
