ABSTRACT
As we approach the 15th anniversary meeting of the Global Ecological Integrity Group (GEIG), it is perhaps time to consider how we started, where we have come from and how our group's work has developed over the last 15 years. It is also time to recall that our starting point has been ecological integrity, so that it is imperative that we recognize its continuing role through our present varied interests, all of which, in some way, manifest its centrality.
