ABSTRACT
Today, the world has the largest generation of young people ever witnessed in history. Numbering over 1.5 billion, adolescents and youths aged 10 to 24 constitute nearly 30 per cent of the total population in developing countries (Lloyd, 2005). During the next two decades, their proportion will continue to swell as a growing number of developing countries progress in their demographic transition.
