In January 2008, the Israeli government announced a major initiative to switch the country to electric cars, with the ‘Better Place’ concept and company as the implementation platform, both developed by the software entrepreneur Shai Agassi. Since then, Better Place has grown powerfully and gathered an extraordinary momentum. What explains this success?
