ABSTRACT

Information is essential to improving organizational effectiveness. The potential for benefits from collaboration between a research organization and an operational NGO seems large. The NGO can tap into the latest knowledge and learn how to improve its own survey and analytical methods. This can in turn strengthen its show of impact and innovation to donors. By working with NGOs, researchers can get a better sense of critical policy and programme questions and shape their work to demand, thereby increasing the probability that others will actively make use of their findings.
