ABSTRACT
In 2006, The Organic Certification Directory 2 contained 395 entries. The increase in numbers is mainly a result of a massive growth in South Korea (from 2 to 33 in one year) and Japan. In Japan, the number is almost back to the level for 2005, when there were 69 organizations. In most other countries, the situation is fairly stable.
