ABSTRACT

Any rating procedure is a comparison scheme that makes it possible to give a score to a certain building (the rated building). It is based on three issues:

the variable of performance or the set of variables that are going to be compared

the comparison scenario, that is, the group of buildings (or the group of values) that are going to provide the distribution of the variable of performance, creating the framework of comparison

the rating score, which includes the criteria and the limits that give the score when the variable of performance is compared in the comparison scenario.
