ABSTRACT
Approved on 23 April 1998, Costa Rica’s Biodiversity Law is the result of a long process to elaborate a national legal framework to implement the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) principles and provisions related to equitable sharing of benefits arising from the commercial use of components of biological diversity.
