ABSTRACT

The strategy of “integrated regional development of the Yangtze River Delta” is an important part of China’s layout of a “Dual Circulation” development pattern in which the domestic economic cycle plays a leading role while the international economic cycle remains its extension and supplement. As the most economically developed and open region in China, the Yangtze River Delta has built close economic links with Europe. The ongoing integrated regional development of the Delta shares similar ideas and goals and convergent development paths with the European integration. The resource-sharing advantages and preferential policies created by the integrated regional development of the Delta can not only promote the mutual benefit and win–win between China and Europe and help upgrade the integration level of the region, but it also provides an impetus for the sound and steady development of China–Europe relations.
