ABSTRACT

China–Europe connectivity has historical roots and is driven by bilateral demands. It is the most direct chain of China–Europe relations and an important cornerstone for the stable development of China–Europe relations. From the perspective of historical progress, European foreign development and capitalist expansion have always been the beneficiary, at least not suffering from the strategic loss caused by connectivity; since reform and opening up, China has grown through connecting with Europe. Integration into globalization has provided an important impetus for the rapid development of China’s economy and society. From the perspective of the embedded relationship, the Eurasian connectivity network with China and Europe as the core has been basically formed. From the government to the enterprise, various entities are deeply embedded in China–Europe connectivity, and have formed an “inseparable” system. China–Europe connectivity is deeply influenced by economic and political factors. As the same time, both economic and political factors should be embedded in this system. Economic embedding in China–Europe connectivity is very clear; however, political disembedding in recent years could destroy the China–Europe connectivity system. Some actions should be taken to prevent political disembedding.
