ABSTRACT
The exercise presented in this chapter, “Let’s Road Trip,” provides an opportunity for students to think through decisions made while taking a cross-country road trip. In doing so, students will be presented with the opportunity to reflect on the exercise and the ways in which each aspect of the road trip planning process emulates the research design process. This exercise also allows students to understand how each aspect of a study – theoretical framework, research questions, and subsequently, research design – must all connect.
