ABSTRACT

The dissemination of research findings is arguably one of the most important phases when it comes to establishing connections with different audiences. This is particularly true of mixed methods studies as there are unique challenges when presenting qualitative/quantitative results. An accurate and concise presentation or visualization could help the researcher(s) communicate their idea in an efficient way that is easily digestible not only for scholars but for policy makers and practitioners as well. This chapter is devoted to offering an illustration of a practice in the field of education for presenting results and findings, namely the Joint Display Analysis. We posit that there are numerous ways to present findings and results from mixed methods studies. Here, we want to avoid some common misconceptions and emphasize that no “one way” exists when it comes to instruction on the topic of presenting a mixed methods study.
