ABSTRACT
Researchers benefit from understanding the cultural context of their work. This lesson plan provides one assignment from an eight-week virtual intercultural exchange program (Soliya Connect) that enhances cross-cultural communication. Interviewing someone from another country provides students with the opportunity to learn about research concepts in other cultures. The interviews are made into one-to-two-minute videos that are exchanged with other students. Reflections about the commonalities and differences in the interviews increase students’ cultural awareness and competence.
