ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a case study of Judy, who had a long-distinguished career as head of a human resources learning and development department in a multinational organisation. She felt she needed a career sea change. During her career, she participated in leadership development workshops and executive coaching provided by the organisation. She had long felt this would be a new direction for her to transition to after her corporate leadership career. While completing the courses, Judy employed a web-tech person to set up a website. The website stated she was trained in coaching, wellbeing and the neuropsychology of coaching. She also employed a personal assistant who had significant competencies in coach promotion across all social media channels. Given her long history receiving coaching and working in learning and development for over 20 years, plus the completion of the three courses, Judy felt these together would be sufficient for her to hang her coaching practice plaque and get to work.
