ABSTRACT
Environmental assessments (EA) are a range of tools commonly used in the regulation and consenting of projects and plans to estimate and evaluate the effects of a course of action on the environment. EA helps project proponents and decision makers consider the environmental consequences of proposed actions by identifying impacts and considering ways to minimise, mitigate or compensate for them. 1
