ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses a multi-pronged approach to implementing PRME and a commitment to responsible management education, encompassing: (1) the classroom [Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), Principles 2: Values & 3: Method]; (2) campus life [Principles 1: Purpose 2: Values and 7: Institutional]; (3) the production of knowledge [Principle 4: Research]; and (4) outreach to the business and not-for-profit worlds [Principles 5: Partnerships and 6: Dialog]. A case study is used to illustrate how a business university is attempting to meet this challenge through the creation of its Alliance for Ethics and Social Responsibility. Going beyond curricular innovation per se, the focus is on how the PRME principles can be embedded throughout the institution by working on the implicit dimensions of the educational experience.
