ABSTRACT

During the last few years, efforts have been made towards the conceptualization and realization of a new inspiring model for business education. The advances in the field of neurosciences have contributed in learning more about human behaviour, which is pertinent to the practice of management. This chapter aims to identify how business education can be inspired by neuroscientific evidence so as to build a responsible business education approach aiming to develop sensitive but also capable business minds. Being aware of the biological underpinnings of brain functioning and processes, business educators can gain a more profound knowledge of how the human brain’s functions are connected to specific behaviours and motivations, thus being able to design innovative educational programmes that enable deep learning. Neuroscientific suggestions and evidence can be used as a basis on which responsible business education programmes can be developed.
