ABSTRACT

This chapter describes school education as it is today in relation to the Fourth Industrial Revolution-a monumental task. Schools and teachers are definitely more inclined to thorough view of education rather than standardized view of education. There is much more concentration on human interactions, human learning environment and emotional part of education than on performance on domestic or international tests. Doctor Eduardo Andere's findings suggest that students are much more active in planning and learning activities. Schools and teachers are more concerned about global and multicultural issues, and there is a widespread understanding that "education is not enough". Technology has great potential for improving education. It can easily connect people from across the globe and allow learners to witness the world in a way not possible before. The reality of implementing excellent classroom technology does not fit the romantic vision of kids dreamily displaying interactive apps on shiny new tablets and lessons flowing smoothly with little effort from the teacher.
