ABSTRACT
Peer mediation is a process by which mediators are trained to help students find their own solutions to problems and conflicts in the school environment. They are usually identifiable by a badge or pin, and have a ‘base’ from which to operate.They are taught the specific skills required (often by an outside agency) and are given very clear guidance on the processes involved.They are supported by link staff – either teachers or meal-time assistants.
