ABSTRACT
This chapter presents two essays by two individuals, the first by Ron Brunner and John Nordgren and the second by Ron Brunner alone, who have been involved in community adaptation practices for many years. Ron Brunner is a consultant and Professor Emeritus at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and is a leading researcher in the field of climate change adaptation. John Nordgren is Senior Program Officer, Environment Program, at The Kresge Foundation and a major supporter of research on climate change adaptation including supporting the ongoing research project that produced three of the community case studies included in Chapter 6.
