ABSTRACT

Research projects begin with an idea aimed at solving a specific problem. From that first idea blossom a set of planned experiments, wherein treatments are devised and tested in the controlled conditions under which the problem typically exists. Data are gathered from observations made during experimentation and evaluated, using statistical analysis, to ascertain the effectiveness of each treatment in correcting the problem.
