ABSTRACT
The study presents numerical modelling data for the state of stress of rocks in the European area of the Eurasia plate, which is induced by the lithospheric plates interaction. Modelling in a 2-D statement of the problem is made by a boundary element method. Calculation data for homogeneous and block media are compared with those presented in the world literature, which resulted from in situ stress measurements and were reconstructed by different methods.
