ABSTRACT

When insight strikes, it’s critical that you can recognize what that experience is like for you – mentally, emotionally, physically – so you can quickly take action to capture it before it evaporates. In this chapter, we consider the physics and metaphysics of the eureka moment, and consider a dozen different strategies designed to help you recognize that you’re having an insight, record the insight in sufficient detail that you can share it with others, and start to articulate it clearly. If you fail at this point, all the curiosity of the Sweat phase and diversion of the Timeout phase will have been for nothing.
