ABSTRACT

Every capable project planner will quickly learn the particular characteristics of the organization in which they work, and will adapt their planning and resource scheduling methods to suit. One situation where interfaces can be used relates to shared assembly space, as mentioned in the following section. Perhaps the most valuable reports for the purpose of getting project work done on time are the departmental work-to lists produced from the resource scheduling process. The part of the project with which we are concerned for project planning and resource scheduling includes all the tasks from initial concept to the point where the first prototype is ready for its taxiing trials on the ground. It is always sensible to run simple time analysis before the resource schedules because the results, apart from their management interest. A vital feature of this report is that it shows, in addition to the earliest start and finish times for each task taken from initial time analysis.
