ABSTRACT

In this study beta- tricalcium phosphate (β TCP) has prepared for incorporating it into crystalline silica- aluminium powder to fabricate aluminium metal matrix composites. In this work, sintering of the compact powder is carried out in different environments, keeping the same sintering temperature, to investigate suitable optimum property for the fabricated composites. Optimized property of the fabricated composites is decided by observing its surface morphology and its various physical as well as mechanical properties. Suitable composite has considered for in vitro biological evaluation as per ISO and ASTM standards. Changes of surface morphology has observed for the sample during SBF analysis. Elemental composition for the bioactive surfaces of the soaked sample is also examined by EDX. Blood compatibility of the composite has also examined and reported.
