ABSTRACT

This chapter proposes to the current central problems of the internal financial control in companies. The issue of developing an effective system of internal financial control in practice becomes very important on modern economic conditions. The process of making strategic decisions concerning a company's value-based management becomes much more complicated in a rapidly changing operating environment with systematically repeated bursts of business activity and the economic downturns. An effective controlled parameters system forms the basis of the company's financial control. The chapter develops methodological approaches of a transparent financial control system formation focused on the achievement of strategic objectives of value-based management. It aims to clarify the existing understanding of internal financial control category; to determine the process of the controlled indicators system constructing; and to prove theoretically the necessity of the assessment of nonfinancial factors and monitoring of investors' expectation in the system of internal financial control.
