ABSTRACT

Fourier series for a non-periodic function over range 2 π $ \boldsymbol{\pi } $ https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9781351232876/7c39b375-15cb-4b0b-ad64-16e4787c18a4/content/inline-math102_1.tif"/> As was stated in the previous chapter, there are many practical uses of Fourier series in science and engineering. The technique has practical applications in the resolution of sound waves into their different frequencies, for example, in an MP3 player, in telecommunications and Wi-Fi, in computer graphics and image processing, in climate variation, in water waves, and much more. In this chapter, the Fourier series for non-periodic functions is explained.
