ABSTRACT

If the project manager is not sustainable and the plans do not include pro-environmental and pro-social activities, sustainability will not be present in the project activities. Approval of a project charter implies its final acceptance and entitles the project manager to take further action. The project charter contains the arrangements that should be respected during project execution. In this chapter, the authors focus on risk management in relation to sustainability activities. The composition of a project team and its structure must be determined in the initial phase of the project work, preferably during preparation of the project charter. The project manager should take into account a situation where even the incentive programs that he considers best do not meet the expectations of project team members. They present many different possibilities of motivating project team members to work for sustainable development. The purpose of reporting is to check the progress of the project.
