ABSTRACT
Water is essential for life in all forms and all places. Water is a prime mover of nutrients, sediment, and carbon in ecosystems. The quantity, timing, and quality of streamflow are direct and integrative reflections of watershed conditions above the point of observation. Therefore, it is not surprising that water often becomes a focal point for many environmental impact assessments and also predictions of future conditions.
