ABSTRACT

Political blogs are one of many innovations transforming the Internet’s use for purposes related to politics and political participation. Though moderate in its impact thus far, political blogging is redefining political discourse and civic engagement in the twenty-first century. Some scholars contend that political blogging might lead to greater polarization while others assert that blogging is inherently democratic. Given the growing interest in blogging, the study of political blogging and its attendant influences is germane to scholars and practitioners alike.
