ABSTRACT
The case studies presented in the second part of this volume cover a limited number of countries and policy areas, but nevertheless raise, explicitly or implicitly, most of the important issues of regulatory policy-making in Europe today. Thus, they provide a most useful background for this chapter whose aim it is to assess the current situation and possible future developments of regulatory federalism in the EC.
