ABSTRACT
In many image-processing applications, an important task is to locate a set of known objects, patterns, or regions in an image. Thus given an image and a set of objects of interest, it is important to identify and locate a given set of objects or regions in the image. The problem is one of segmenting an image and extracting the regions of interest using matching techniques.
