ABSTRACT
Virtually all contemporary gas chromatographs are designed primarily for quantitative analysis. However, the analyst needs to be aware of those parts of the equipment that are critical from the point of view of accuracy and precision and those procedures that can significantly affect the reliability of an assay. In particular, the analyst should be aware of any specific development techniques that can influence the quality of an analysis.
