ABSTRACT

NVQs require the candidate to show that they are competent in relevant aspects of work. The role of the assessor is to help the candidate compile the evidence and to make links between what the candidate does and what the candidate knows. As stated before, evidence can come in a variety of formats to include:

• observations carried out by an assessor; • expert witness/witness testimony; • questioning/professional discussions; • work products; • case studies and reflective accounts of your work.
