ABSTRACT
Madam Mubarek was concerned about the number of young children growing up in poverty, who did not experience early childhood education in Egypt. For Froebelians a lack of unity and wholeness of approach leads to a lack of quality in the education of young children. There have been some consistent themes, which have been an important part of the author journey into a Froebelian approach to the education of young children, deeply influencing how educators are guided to work with their families in a spirit of partnership. The way that young children are being schooled in England, rather than educated, is not just a worry for Froebelians. Principles need to be unified, interconnected and intertwined with tangible Froebelian practices, which are not allowed to become rigid or prescribed in the way they unfortunately came to be offered and used when working with children and families in the 1900s.
