ABSTRACT

The purpose of this chapter is to center storytelling as a dialogue exchange between four people with personal and professional investments in trans people and contexts in higher education. The authors begin by describing their individual positionalities, relationships with each other, and process for writing. Following, they briefly overview key terms relevant to their chapter, including gender, kinship, and trans student services. The main body of the chapter is an abbreviated transcription of a conversation between the authors, foregrounding their own gender journeys and experiences in higher education. The authors close their chapter with considerations for higher education administrators and student affairs professionals who serve trans collegians.
