ABSTRACT

The paper discusses poems by Alan Spence and Kenneth White. Special attention is given to the theme of non-duality, deepening one’s awareness, contemplation, meditation, and the Buddhist concept of the Void. In my theoretical framework, I attempt to show how the practice of mushin (no-mind) and munen (no-thought) in Spence’s and White’s poems may be linked with Transmodernism as proposed by Willis Harman, White’s theory of geopoetics, and Amit Goswami’s concept of quantum activism.
