ABSTRACT

The company promoter was, and still is, a vital link in the formation of a new company. His skills include those of corporate talent scout, finance broker, business analyst and public relations consultant, together with a good knowledge of civil and commercial law and the workings of the business world. The promoter is the link between the potential investor and the as yet unfulfilled business opportunity. Most of the Australian and Californian gold bubble company promoters who have been identified put forward only one proposal each, while a few were involved with the promotion of two, three or four such companies each.
