ABSTRACT
The legislation on the use of veterinary drugs in food-producing animals is regulated by many authorities throughout the world, all concerning the quality, efficacy, and safety of the use of these agents. However, considerable variation in the regulatory process is recognized to occur within different countries; licensing requirements may range from highly controlled to minimal inspection.
