ABSTRACT

This chapter addresses the linking of organizational resilience with corporate governance and explains the organizational decision making approach. It gives attention to new business models and so are future impacts. By linking organizational resilience with corporate governance it is possible to better understand how performance, conformance and corporate responsibility are integrated with the people, processes and systems approach. The Generic Cyber Security Management Model (GCSMM) allows senior management to improve and refine the linkage between a company's cyber security strategy and the company's ability to attract and maintain cyber security specialists. New business models are emerging and management is looking for new ways to preserve their organization's market position and as a consequence delayering may be occurring, outsourcing may be evident and subcontracting important services may be preferred. Innovative communication techniques will create a network-enabled audience. As early as 2004 there were calls to provide better protection for Internet users and to make the Internet more resilient.
