ABSTRACT
The revision part of the writing process traditionally includes the students, peers, or you assessing the writing draft and then the students improving their writing (Figure 9.1). However, in the formative assessment process, almost all aspects of their writing have already been assessed and improved before the learners reach this part (Figure 9.2). In formative assessment, as writers go from the draft to their final version, they make minimal changes.
