ABSTRACT

Grafting efciency, grafting proportion, and grafting frequency determine water absorbability [1,2], cation exchange property [3], dyeability with the basic dyes, and the degree of compatibility of lignocellulose natural bers with a polymer matrix [4]. The products can be used as superabsorbents, ion exchange composites, or a reinforcement depending upon the type of monomers (hydrophobic/ hydrophilic) graft copolymerized.
