ABSTRACT
Approved Document C4, diagram 5, of the Building Regulations 1985, illustrates a concrete ground supported floor that will meet the performance if built as follows (unless it is subjected to water pressure) (See Fig 4):
A. concrete at least 100mm thick. 50kg cement mixed with 0.11m3 offine aggregate and 0.16m3 of coarse aggregate, or BS5328, mix CIOP if steel is embedded within.
