ABSTRACT

Power electronic energy converters which are based on power semiconductor devices (PSD) — thyristors, diodes — are widely used in many branches of techniques. Their electrical schemes imply from 12 to 36 PSD. They are disposed in converter space by preliminary set mode. PSD dissipate high power heat flows therefore for guarantee of their operation reliability it is necessary to create effective system of heat dissipation. The method of computer modelling of heat regimes of converters is especially designed by authors for this purpose. This method permits to determine the case temperature of devices disposed in converter if disposal of blocks in space and duty parameters are known. Methods of thermo stabilisation and modelling and their results were used at creation of the new types of converters. The experience of operation in different energy systems conformates the high reliability of this unit.
