ABSTRACT
Ethnohistory, an already ancient discipline, has specialised in reconstructing the history of traditional societies. In this chapter we will expose the methodology for providing results that can be used by other sciences. To do this, we will examine in turn the contributions of written sources and those of oral traditions that constitute the two pillars of ethnohistory.
