ABSTRACT

Theories and practices of axiological holism can be found in Islamic moralistic holism, which is an axiological alliance for holistic moral pedagogy. Holistic education is known as values education in that it integrates learners' spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development. The lifehood positions of the angels are to form Islamic monistic metaphysics towards Tawhidic life, in which it is the series of divine revelations to mankind. The angels of Islam are axiological systems for Muslim people and ideologically support a theocrat community. The angels uphold a monistic worldview that combines this life and afterlife into a whole – neither this life-centred nor afterlife-oriented, and promote an integrative approach to morality by diminishing individuality or egoistic mind. To articulate virtues in ontological or Indigenous holism, an expansion of axiological aspects of Indigenous holism is necessary. Although there is a lack of literature that explores its detailed expansion, the identity of Aboriginal Elders has the potential of initiating such an expansion.
