ABSTRACT

In this chapter, I present HOOD’s (habitus-oriented OD) practical objectives. The OD field offers a varied set of practices and techniques for the development of consultees’ self-consciousness and for personal growth and development. I show how HOOD consultants can use these techniques also for the development of consultees’ reflexivity to their own and others’ habitus that predisposes thinking and behavior in close correspondence with the social structure: power relations, control over capital and resources, accepted practical knowledge and positions in the organization’s social structure.
